Wild Thyme Women is a natural outgrowth
of Wild Thyme Players. It was Diana Finegold's dream to establish a forum in which
women can gather to work on their writing, acting, and production inclinations. They came
informally into existence when the Wild Thyme Players offered a critically-acclaimed
production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues in 2002. The synergy of those
performances continued with the establishment of Wild Thyme Women.
These are some of the women who have been in recent performances. |

Masters in directing from Binghamton University in 2002. Maria credits her interest
in the dramatic arts to the time she spent at Three Rivers Community College under the
tutelage of John Basinger, of whom she says, He inspired me to leave my mark on the
world through dramatic expression. She has acted in numerous shows in and around
Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island for the past several years and has directed Savage
in Limbo by John Patrick Shanley, The Country Wife by William Wycherley and
several one-act plays by Eugene ONeill, among many others. Maria recently spent some
time in Chicago working with a theatre outreach program for inner city high school
students, was an artistic advisor for the Serendipity Youth Theatre and directed Sleeping
Judy and the Atomic Misfits for the Giving Tree Theatre Company. Maria is a newcomer
to the Wild Thyme Players and Wild Thyme Women and looks forward to many more fabulous
performances with them. |
