Actor, director, producer, playwright:
Diana Finegold is a multi-faceted woman. After studying theatre at Barnard College, she
has spent the past thirty years acting with theatre companies throughout Long Island's
East End: The Southampton Players, the North Fork Community Theatre, The Stirling Players
and Northeast Stage, in addition to her own group, The Wild Thyme Players, recently
refounded in Norwich, Connecticut.
Actress: She has performed leading roles in: The
Vagina Monologues, Love Letters, Deathtrap, The Chalk Garden, Before She is Even Born, A
Bed Among the Lentils, Her Big Chance, and Shirley Valentine. She won the
2000 Best Actress Award at Interact '00, The Southampton Players festival of new plays.
Director: The Vagina Monologues, The Belle of
Amherst, Love Letters, A Chip in the Sugar, a Bed Among the Lentils, The Last Request of
Eddie Carmichael, Cohen, and Can You Ever Forgive Arthur Kleinman?
plus her originals.
Playwright: A member of The Dramatists' Guild, Diana is
a specialist in the writing and production of original, interactive murder mysteries, some
with original music, some commissioned as entertainment for specific clients. These unique
audience-participation shows have been performed for the past fifteen years at
restaurants, inns, hotels, motels, country and yacht clubs, corporate events, on the
Peconic River paddleboat, and as fundraisers for schools, churches, hospitals, and
charities. They include:
